- II) This Privacy Policy applies to both our online and offline activities. Online activities include web and mobile services, accessible via various devices, while offline activities involve data collection through mail, phone, or in-person interactions. These activities, collectively known as our "Services," facilitate ride booking through third-party drivers and operators.
- III) This Privacy Policy also covers your interaction with our interactive features or downloads available through our Services. By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you agree to adhere to this Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully to understand our privacy practices.
- IV) Your privacy matters to us. We securely store Protected Information and Usage Information with industry-standard security measures like encryption, firewalls, and SSL. While we strive to safeguard your data, no system is completely invulnerable. We cannot ensure absolute security during transmission or within our databases. Transmit information at your own risk and avoid sharing your password.
- V) These Terms and Conditions outline how we designate individuals: 'SEMJA Partner' is referred to as 'Driver,' 'SEMJA Rider' or 'Users' are referred to as 'Passenger'.

1.1) We may request Protected Information from you via account registration or contact forms as well as during interactions. Your user profile, created upon signing up for our Services, may require this information for lawful and service-related purposes. The data fields that may be requested include:
- a) We collect personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- b) When you use the App to search for or book transportation services, we collect your device's GPS location to enhance user experience.
- c) We gather your billing information for secure transactions when paying for transportation services through the SEMJA App.
- d) Information about your interaction with the App, such as the types of transportation services you book, how often you use the App, and the locations you travel to, is collected to improve our services.
- e) We use device information, IP addresses, and unique identifiers to perform internal operations, detect unsafe behavior, prevent fraud, and enhance support.
- f) We collect background check and identity verification details of the Driver Partner, which may encompass their driving history, criminal record (where permissible by law), and work authorization status.
- g) When you join us as a Vendor Partner or Driver Partner, we'll need to gather some information to ensure smooth operations on the SEMJA Platform. This includes your location details, profile picture, call and SMS logs, and copies of government-issued identification documents like Aadhaar and Permanent Account Number.
- h) Additionally, we'll need your license details, as well as various vehicle-related documents such as registration certificates, vehicle permits, fitness certificates, insurance documents, pollution certificates, and any other paperwork that demonstrates the health or fitness of your vehicle.
- i) Our primary platform for service delivery is the Mobile Application, designed to enhance user experience and ensure security.
- j) We gather technical data, such as device specifications and software details, to facilitate software updates and offer efficient product support.
- k) Our tracking system monitors user interactions within the Mobile Application and connected websites, allowing us to personalize services and content according to user preferences. When granted device permissions, we may access SMS/text messages solely for specific purposes, like one-time passwords and verification during financial transactions, ensuring seamless user experience.
- l) Rest assured, we uphold stringent privacy standards, refraining from sharing SMS/text message data with any third parties unless explicitly outlined in our Privacy Policy or required by law.
- m) These details are essential for providing our services effectively and may be updated periodically.
- n) We collect Usage Information through cookies. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Service functionality. Third-party cookie use is beyond our control and not covered by our Privacy Policy.
1.2) Device Information
- a) We collect Information by ourselves or through integration with third-party applications which consists of technical information and aggregated usage information.
- b) This may contain, among other things, Device Identifier of your Device, your preferred language and country site, manufacturer, software, and model of your Device.
- c) Device type, operating systems and versions, your geolocation, mobile network data, screens you have visited.
- d) Your touch gestures performed in your SEMJA App, your scrolling activity, and any other actions you have performed during your use of SEMJA App, etc.
- e) These data are gathered to enhance the user interface and experience on SEMJA Platform.
- f) It facilitates the provision of software updates, product support, and other services to you, etc.
- g) Any sensitive information about other programs that you are running on your Device is not collected.
- h) Passwords, and activity across other applications are also excluded from collection.
- i) All sensitive information is masked to ensure privacy and security.
2) Location information
- a) Location data from drivers and rider devices supports essential platform functionalities like accurate navigation and real-time updates.
- b) Location data aids in calculating fair ride fares based on factors such as distance traveled and current traffic conditions.
- c) Location data analysis helps identify suspicious activities, ensuring the safety and security of all platform users.
2.1) For Partners
- a) Semja collects location data when the Semja App is active in the foreground (open and on-screen) or background (running in the background) on your mobile device. For Partners, Semja collects location data only when Partners have enabled the "online" icon on the Semja partner App.
- b) Partners selected as offline “when the app is not in use” location data will not be collected.
2.2) For User
- a) We collect precise or approximate location data from your Device if you enable us to do so.
- b) SEMJA collects this data from the time a Service is requested until it is finished, “when the app is not in use” and after the end of the service, location data will not be collected.
- c) We use this data to enhance your use of SEMJA App, including to improve pick-up locations, enable safety features, and prevent and detect fraud.
- d) Even if you have not enabled us to collect location data from your Device, SEMJA collects the Partners location data collected during a trip.
- d) This information is then linked with your account, allowing us to offer services such as receipt generation and customer support. Additionally, it helps in ensuring the safety of the Customers.
3) Permissions and API for Accessing Sensitive Information
- a) APIs that access sensitive information that give access to user or device data for undisclosed, unimplemented, or disallowed features or purposes.
- b) Personal or sensitive data accessed through permissions or APIs that access sensitive information may never be sold nor shared for a purpose facilitating sale.
- c) The SEMJA App requires specific permissions and utilizes API to offer you a seamless and efficient service. We prioritize safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding the information we access and how it's utilized. Below, we outline the permissions and APIs utilized by our app.
3.1) Location Permission
- Purpose : Our app needs access to your device's precise location to provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations, estimate arrival times, and ensure the safety of both riders and drivers
- How It's Used : We utilize your location data to match you with the nearest available drivers, optimize routes, and facilitate navigation during your ride.
3.1) Device Contacts Permission
- a) To enhance the user experience, our app may request access to your device's contacts.
- b) This permission allows you to easily select contacts as destinations or share ride details with friends and family.
3.3) Camera and Photos Permission
- a) In certain cases, our app may request access to your device's camera and photo library.
- b) This permission enables you to upload a profile picture, capture and share images relevant to your ride (e.g., vehicle condition), and verify your identity if required.
3.4) Payment API
- a) To securely and efficiently process payments, our app integrates with payment APIs.
- b) These APIs facilitate payment transactions when you initiate a ride, securely store payment information, and generate receipts for your records.
3.5) Push Notification API
- a) Our app utilizes push notification API to deliver real-time updates and important notifications.
- b) These APIs inform you about ride status, driver arrival, promotional offers, and other relevant information to enhance your overall experience.
4) Information to Third Parties
Our policy prohibits the sale, sharing, renting, or trading of your information, except as outlined below or with your explicit consent.
4.1) Third-Party Service Providers (TPSPs)
- a) To enhance our Services, we engage TPSPs to perform various functions on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support.
- b) These TPSPs may have access to your Information, including Personal Information, solely for the purpose of providing these services.
- c) We ensure that TPSPs adhere to data protection standards and refrain from unauthorized use or disclosure of Personal Information.
- d) In order to safeguard the privacy of our users and partners, it is explicitly stated that location and background location data shall not be shared with any third-party service providers (TPSPs).

7) Approval as driver partner
- a) To ensure approval in the background, we verify driver photos, personal information, licenses, vehicles, insurance, and government-issued documents such as criminal records.
- b) we may investigate and address concerns through our customer support to enable services and features.
- c) we may also require verification of the driver's identity through additional documents or checks.
8) Administrative and legal compliance
- a) To comply with applicable laws, regulations, governmental requests, or legal processes.
- b) To safeguard and uphold the Terms and Conditions governing online and mobile Services or other pertinent policies, including investigations into potential violations thereof.
- c) To protect the Company, our Services, or any third party's safety, rights, property, or security.
